Overdrive Funding helps Australian plumbers access competitive vehicle finance. We compare 80+ banks and specialist lenders, negotiate the deal and manage everything from start to finish — new or used, from dealers, private sellers or auctions anywhere in Australia.
Plumbing sits awkwardly between a van trade and a ute trade. Maintenance and service work wants a van; excavation, drainage and new construction want a ute or a tipper you can throw spoil and pipe into. Plenty of plumbers end up running both.
What plumbers finance
- Vans — Transit, Transporter, Sprinter, Caddy, Deliver 9
- Utes and cab chassis with trays, canopies and pipe racks
- Tipper utes and light tippers for excavation and drainage work
- Jetter and CCTV drain camera vehicle fit-outs
- Mini excavators and trenchers where you also do drainage
- New, used, ex-fleet, dealer, private-sale and auction purchases
We only finance vehicles located in Australia. See our business vehicle finance page for the full range, rates and how approvals work.
Service work versus construction work
If most of your revenue is maintenance and service callouts, a well-racked van wins — you carry more, it stays dry, and it locks up. If you are doing drainage, excavation or new builds, a tipper ute earns its keep quickly because you stop paying someone to cart spoil. Be honest about your actual job mix over the past year rather than the work you hope to win.
Jetters, cameras and the gear that goes in
A jetter or CCTV drain camera setup is a serious spend and often gets bought on a credit card or out of cash flow, which is expensive. Where it is fitted to or purchased with the vehicle it can generally be financed in the same facility. Standalone equipment finance is also available — see our equipment finance options.
